Decisions
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD. Isaiah 55:8Genesis 13:4b
“And there Abram called on the name of the LORD. Genesis 13:10a And Lot lifted his eyes.
How will your day Start?
There’s an account from Genesis 13 that reveals to us a Godly decision vs a fleshly decision.
Abram realizes that things have to change.
Gen 13:6 “Now the land was not able to support them, that they might dwell together, for their possessions were so great that they could not dwell together.”
“Abram dwelt in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelt in the cities of the plain and pitched his tent even as far as Sodom.” Genesis 13:12
Abram- “I’ll call on the name of the Lord.”
Lot- “Now let me see…”
That statement divides the two, one who calls on the name of the Lord and one who doesn’t. For me and my walk, it has to be a “call on the name of the Lord” process. Or in other words, “what should I do Lord”?
Do you start your day with a mind set of I need God?
When you have the attitude that there’s a right way and a wrong way to do things, and God’s ways are not my ways, it takes a mindfulness of what is the right choice.
How do we make Quality Decisions?

Follow God’s principles according to His word
1. Unselfishness–
“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.
Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 2:3-5
2. Orderly
1 You must teach what is in accord with sound doctrine. 2 Teach the older men to be temperate, worthy of respect, self-controlled, and sound in faith, in love and in endurance. 6 Similarly, encourage the young men to be self-controlled. Titus 2:1,2,6
3- Unashamed
“I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.” Romans 1:16
4. Truthful —
Truthful lips endure forever, but a lying tongue lasts only a moment. Proverbs 12:19
Just to name a few…
Bottom line; We have to have a “For His name sake” way of life. If we make decisions being mindful of what would bring glory to God, for “His name sake”, we’ll be making not only wise decisions but Godly decisions. – Rob Russomano serves on the full-time staff at America’s Keswick and is a graduate of the Colony of Mercy

Rob thanks for your simple yet deep message. My cup of tea. Such a simple choice yet it sets the tone for our actions and how our day is going to be decided; Jesus or self. Since one of my life’s mottos is, “I do well til I show up”, I better make the conscious decision, the simple choice of Jesus or me.
