Watch Your Step

Watch Your Step

The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, And He delights in his way.

Psalm 37:23

When was the last time you asked yourself “how did I get here”?

Like a lot of us the answer to this question began a journey that continues today. When we consider the path we take we need to put a lot of thought into it. The Bible teaches that we should “Ponder the path of your feet and let all your ways be established. Do not turn to the right or the left, Remove your foot from evil” Proverbs 4:26, 27.

It says to “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour” 1 Peter 5:8.

I know about construction sites and the importance of watching your step. If I’m not careful the consequences could be severe.

I will often council men of the Colony to consider every step you take and make sure that you will not lead yourself to destruction.

Watch Your Step

Simply ask yourself the question, “should I be here”?

There will be times when we wander as the old hymn says “Prone to wander, Lord I feel it prone to leave the God I love”.

It’s at that time we must sit down and ask Jesus to wash our feet, repent, which means turn around and get back on track and walk.

The Apostle Paul urges us “to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called” Ephesians 4:1b – Rob Russomano is a graduate of the Colony of Mercy and a full-time staff member at America’s Keswick
