Will I Really Trust You, Lord?

Will I Really Trust You, Lord

Good morning, brothers. Welcome to a new week of Freedom Fighter blogs. I trust that these money e-devotionals are a blessing in your life. Sometimes we wonder if this is meeting a need – is anyone really reading them.

Trust God

All that to say, from time to time when God speaks to your heart, please let us know. We certainly don’t want to clog of your inbox or just have you hit delete.

We just had an amazing weekend of ministry at America’s Keswick with Dr. Tony Hart. (Check out his messages at www.americaskewsick.org). This week we have Dick Purnell and Dave Edwards sharing God’s Word.

Going into the weekend two weeks ago, we had a very low attendance. God blessed us in the end with a great weekend with lots of enthusiasm, great weather, and what a feeding from the Word of God.

But as we start this new week, we have the lowest attendance that we have had in years for a week. And on top of that, a large group who were scheduled to be here on the weekend, canceled.

The storm fried phones at the Colony of Mercy, messed up our computer system, burned out the compressor in the Raws Auditorium and the list goes on and one.

Despite these challenges, I have been confronted in my devotional readings with this question: Will I really trust you Lord?

The other day, I read these words: Be strong and courageous. Do not be discouraged, for I will be with you wherever you go … when everything seems to be going wrong, refuse to get discouraged. Remember that God is a God of surprise. He is not limited by the ways things are or by the paltry possibilities I can see … the longer I wait for my prayers to be answered, the closer I am to a breakthrough …

Wow. In Lamentations 3:25-26 we read: The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him. It is good that one should hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.

So what will GOD do this week? I don’t have a clue! But I have to tell you, that by faith I choose to seek HIS face and to trust HIM, and will leave the results to Him. I will look forward to sharing with you what HE has done.

Is there are area in your life where God is saying, “Will you really trust me?” Will you share it with me so I can pray for you too?

Think About This:Only when we have enough mental stress to force us to see our own bankruptcy of power, do we trust in God, and only when we trust in God can we make a contribution which will not collapse. Kenneth L. Pike

This Week’s Verse to Memorize:  For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. Romans 8:18

Will I really trust you Lord – Do I really trust you Lord OR do I talk the talk when it is to my advantage??? Have been reading and thinking more & more of my complaining, not to others -the complaining to myself – changes in culture, in me, in ….. so much. Feeling so sick of being so self centered , so America centered, so my little world centered when my brothers and sisters all over planet earth are giving thanks for just bread, are in prisons for Christ, are burying their dead who died for Him. – I feel so self centered that there is only one place to go -on my knees.

be not discouraged , thank you for Freedom Fighters , I look forward for it every morning. the interest in the things of the Lord seems to be lacking in this world today. God calls us to be faithful amen
