…and Another Thing
“So God, who knows the heart, acknowledged them by giving them the Holy Spirit, just as He did to us.” Acts 15:8
I can still hear the haunting cries of family and friends who would bombard me with the failures of my life when I was in bondage to a life dominating sin, “and another thing”.
On top of the guilt and shame would come the reminders of the damaged I caused and the unmet expectations of my failed promises to change.
Upon Receiving Christ as my Savior I was able to begin to hear His voice,” Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light” Matthew 11:28, 29.
Luke’s account in Acts 15 is an attempt by “a certain man” who said “…and another thing” which was combated by Peter in vs. 10 “Now therefore, why do you test God by putting a yoke on the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
I entered the Colony of Mercy and the journey began as God would bring one thing at a time to deal with and I was able to sort through and eliminate the things that were too heavy for me to carry. These “heavy burdens” where never meant for me to carry nor could I in my own strength.
Even today that “certain man” can rear his ugly head. Do you have a “certain man” whispering in your ear, “…and another thing”? My advice,
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Matthew 6:33 – Rob Russomano is a graduate of the Colony of Mercy and serves on the full-time staff at America’s Keswick

Quote of the day: A visitor saw a nurse attending the sores of a leprosy patient. “I would not do that for a million dollars,” she said. The nurse answered, “Neither would I, but I do it for Jesus for nothing.” Corrie Ten Boom
Verse to Memorize: The Lord will keep you from all evil; He will keep your life. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forever more. Psalm 121:7-8

Praise the LORD for you Rob. I remember the day you entered the Colony and the time that you spent there. You were a determined man to get the past behind him. And now, the LORD is using you for his glory in the place where it all started. Amazing!
